Ethnic Coin Necklace

Learn how to make an ancient looking, Ethnic Coin Necklace with hammered coins and heavy-gauge wire. Make beautiful spirals, hefty twisted-wire jump rings, figure-8 links, and a handmade clasp. We’ll then explore forging techniques with metal coins using a chasing hammer, punch holes in metal, and make copper-tack rivets. This mixed-media jewelry workshop involves lots of wirework plus hammering techniques, and is suitable for students of all skill levels.
